At Outdoor Genius, we work successfully alongside other organisations to deliver outdoor learning based activities and programmes. We are open to all enquiries regarding events, regular activities or training needs both on your own grounds or off-site. Please contact us on: email@example.com to discuss your requirements/ideas and we can work with you to make them a reality!
Here are some examples of the projects we have been, or are currently, involved in:
NCS activity camps – delivered in partnership with the University of Derby, we plan, organise and deliver the National Citizen Scheme activity weeks at Oakland’s Manor in Buxton.
“The University of Derby have formed a strong, ongoing, working relationship with Outdoor Genius to deliver NCS activity camps at our Oaklands Manor site in Buxton. Outdoor Genius have successfully managed all aspects of the project, from securing the original contract to delivery of the courses to over 400 young people. They have been professional at all times, operated within budget, and worked closely with University departments over an extended period to ensure a high quality experience for those taking part.” Adrian McGillion, Assistant Director, University of Derby
Map Quest – we have an ongoing relationship with the High Peak School Sports Partnership to organise and deliver orienteering competitions for schools across the High Peak.
“High Peak School & Sport Partnership have worked with Outdoor Genius on several occasions now and each time they have hosted an event for us it has been a huge success. They are easy to communicate with, well organised and most importantly the children always have a great time. Our Map Quest orienteering festivals, hosted by Outdoor Genius, offer children the freedom to explore, the opportunity to develop map reading skills and the chance to represent their schools working and communicating as a team. We look forward to working with Outdoor Genius again very soon!”
Dawn Richardson, Partnership Development Manager
Global Footprints is a Peak District based overseas expedition company that takes groups of young people on life-changing journeys across the world – from the Swiss Alps to Borneo and South America. It is run by highly experienced and professional expedition facilitators. They focus on the development of students by challenging them to step out of their comfort zone, work together as a team and become confident and positive young people.
The Global Footprints team plan and organise every aspect of the expeditions and have exceptional safety and back up systems in place.
If you would like more information about what they can offer your Secondary school pupils, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website www.global-footprints.co.uk
After School Clubs – an ongoing relationship with local schools to deliver regular outdoor clubs after school, both on the school grounds and in woods nearby.
“The children had an amazing experience working with Outdoor Genius, the sessions were well organised and equipped, and the staff ensured the care and safety of the children always came first. The children loved exploring the local woods in the dark and will never forget roasting marshmallows over an open fire!” St Anne’s RC School.
